About the Role The MRI Coordinator role delivers a commitment to clinical expertise and leadership, playing a significant role in maintaining exemplary clinical standards and a high-quality patient experience. The locations for this role include our Modbury, Gawler and Stepney clinics, and the successful candidate will coordinate MRI services across each of these clinics. This will be an excellent opportunity for an experienced MRI technologists to maximise their MRI expertise by coordinating MRI services within the designated clinics. Reporting to the Chief Technologist, the MRI Coordinator will work closely with the Chief Technologist, Office Manager and Area Manager to provide modality-specific services and support the Modality Chief and 2IC in implementing and managing modality-specific initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure high service standards including workflow, patient care, referrer liaison, productivity benchmarks and CPD. The MRI Coordinator will lead and manage the MRI staff rostered to the clinic, including coordinating day-to-day tasks, ensuring professional conduct, and enhancing team culture and coaching as required. Key Responsibilities - Providing high-quality MRI diagnostic and interventional medical imaging services to referrers and patients in accordance with professional, ethical, and industry quality standards.
- Maintaining exemplary clinical standards and a high-quality patient experience, implementing and managing modality-specific and body part initiatives
- Liaising with clinic leaders and clinic director to integrate MRI within the clinic
- Monitoring competency and proficiency, identifying gaps and liaising with Modality Chiefs to develop staff
- Providing training, education and upskilling of staff in the modality and specialty
Qualifications and Skills - Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Medical Imaging) or equivalent.
- AHPRA registration and EPA SA Radiation Licence.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to perform MRI diagnostic and interventional medical imaging examinations to the accepted industry standard or above.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other medical and non-medical personnel.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to the culture and values of Jones Radiology.
- Ability to perform some weekend and out-of-hours work; on a rostered or on-call basis and be compensated accordingly.
