About the Role 

This is an opportunity for an experienced Sonographer to join our Alice Springs Hospital Practice for a 12-month fixed-term contract. Working in the General Medical Imaging Department of the Hospital, this role will provide diagnostic ultrasound imaging services to referrers and patients, alongside a collaborative and dynamic team of NT Government and Jones Radiology staff. 


Your key responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality, accurate diagnostic ultrasound imaging services to referrers and patients by professional, ethical and industry quality standards. 
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff, and managers.
  • Delivering the best possible patient care and service.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills, expertise, and self-capabilities and keep well-informed of advancements in imaging and technology.

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Demonstrated experience as a Sonographer; General, MSK, Obstetrics, Vascular. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other medical and non-medical personnel.
  • Ability to perform medical imaging ultrasound examinations employing correct techniques to the accepted industry standard or above.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to the culture and values of Jones Radiology.
