Jones Radiology is a doctor-owned and operated practice offering the highest quality diagnostic and interventional radiology services throughout South Australia and Alice Springs. Jones Radiology is opening in early 2023, a brand-new stand-alone, purpose-built clinic in the Victor Harbor town centre. Adding to our existing clinics at Goolwa and Victor Harbor Hospital, this expansion of our radiology services to the peninsula expands our MRI Services.

 

About the Role 

Jones Radiology is pleased to offer an MRI Radiographer an opportunity to join our continued growth and expansion in our Sothern and Fleurieu regions. As an MRI Radiographer, you will utilise your professional skills and knowledge in the best way, contributing to patient care and producing the best clinical outcomes. This position will join a dedicated team led by the MRI Chief of Modality and 2IC Chief of Modality, who will provide professional expert advice on MRI matters. The Chief Technologist, and Area Manager, will provide daily operational guidance.

 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Performing high-quality and accurate MRI scans utilising your professional skills and knowledge in the best way, contributing to patient care, and producing the best clinical outcomes.
  • The opportunity to expand your knowledge with exposure to sub-specialised referrals with Neuro, Breast, Body, and MSK coverage.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff, and managers.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills, expertise, and self-capabilities.

To be successful in this role: 

  • Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Medical Imaging) or equivalent.
  • Current AHPRA registration and EPA SA Radiation Licence. 
  • Postgraduate Qualification in MRI
  • Completion of Level 1 MRI Accreditation with ASMIRT.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to perform MRI diagnostic and interventional medical imaging examination
  • Ability to perform some weekend and out-of-hours work; on a rostered or on-call basis and be compensated accordingly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other medical and non-medical personnel.
